ZLATAN'S THOUGHTS BEFORE PSG-LILLE

Six more games of the season, two finals. Tonight PSG play Lille in the league cup final and Zlatan is ready to repeat last season's success on Stade de France. Read his thoughts before the game.

PSG will play their seventh Coupe de la Ligue final of all time, with the chance to take their third straight League Cup title. Lille is the opponent on Stade de France in Paris. How do you feel, and how is the squad before the title match tomorrow?

ZLATAN: "It feels good and everyone looks forward to a packed Stade de France."

Your opponent Lille OSC has reached their first League Cup final ever. The league's sixth placed team enters Stade de France with the extra injection of the opportunity to write history. What do you think of your opponent, who has given you close fights in L1 this season?

ZLATAN: "A good team that plays good football."

Stade de France – a historical arena for big finals that is starting to be a habit for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to visit. An arena where Sweden will start this summer's Euro on June 13th against Ireland, and where the European Championship final also will be played. What is your best memory so far from this arena in northern Paris?

ZLATAN: "My two goals in the Cup final against Bastia."

In the semifinal in the French Cup last Tuesday you scored your 42nd goal of the season (all competition matches included), and thusly broke the club record and your personal scoring record. You have the capability to deliver more and more, and break record after record. In last year's League Cup final against Bastia you scored two goals, does that mean you will score three tomorrow?

ZLATAN: "I hope so."

The semifinal away against Lorient in the French Cup ended 0-1 and PSG is through to the Cup final. Your immediate thoughts after the match?

ZLATAN: "Now it's all about winning."

Lorient played well and managed to keep it close the whole match. They should have had a penalty in the first half, and in the second Sirigu had to make some tough saves. But in the 75th minute Europe's foremost scorer struck again and decided the match. Tell us about the goal

ZLATAN: "Moved up with the ball, passed one, and fooled the keeper."

Artificial turf is pretty unusual for you, but at the same time it should suit PSG's passplay. Do you think the pitch affected your game in any way today?

ZLATAN-INTERVIEW ON UEFA.COM

Click on the image to go to uefa.com for video interview.

Zlatan sat down and talked to uefa.com before PSG's megaclash with Manchester City Tuesday night. "Zlatan Ibrahimović told UEFA.com, with the Paris forward sure he is hitting the best form of his career, aged 34, as his side head for City."

UEFA.com: You have reached the final rounds of the UEFA Champions League with Paris again. How determined are you to make history with this club?

ZLATAN: "Every time [the aim has been] to go further, but so far we haven't gone further. And it's the same thing this year, we will try to go further. The Champions League is like that – you never know, you cannot predict what's going to happen. You can always do your best, but what will happen is difficult to predict. You can always wish, but you need to [put in the performances] in the two games you play. We are a better team this season. And we have more experience this season, so the club – no, not the club, but the new team, let's say, that was reborn a couple of years ago – is more used to the quarter-finals."

UEFA.com: When you reflect on this season, how happy are you with how you have performed?

ZLATAN: "I am enjoying it, I am enjoying it a lot, because there were many discussions before this season. Many, many talks and now I don't hear people talking any more. I see them enjoying it instead. So that is what I do, I enjoy myself and I give the people happiness and let them enjoy it."

UEFA.com: You are 34 now. Would you say you are playing better than ever?

ZLATAN: "I have never been better. The way I feel today is the best I have ever been. I was born old and I will die young. That is how it looks."

UEFA.com: As you get older, do you appreciate the special moments on the pitch even more?

ZLATAN: "I appreciate it, yes, because I think everything is in your head. It's a mental thing. You are as young and fresh as you think you are. And that is what I have proved this season, by doing the things I am doing. So the age is just a number. You are as young as you think you are in your head. Your head decides how young you are and how old you are. So this year I decided I am very young."

UEFA.com: You have won everything domestically in France. What would it mean to bring the cup with the big ears to Paris?

ZLATAN: "I play for trophies; whatever trophy I can win, I will do everything in my power, in my sacrifice, to win it. Absolutely. So if we can win it, we want to win it. The players on the pitch want to win everything. That's why we are here, to train, to focus, to prepare and to do it. So let's see."

ZLATAN + SEVERAL KEY PLAYERS RESTED

PSG went to Guingamp with the most backup-oriented team of the season. Zlatan wasn't part of the squad, as well as rested Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Thiago Motta, Maxwell, Edinson Cavani and Angel di Maria. Marco Verratti and Javier Pastore were missing due to injury.

LUCAS GAMEWINNER

And with all those players out, the biggest PSG-star on the pitch had to step forward. Lucas Moura. It was 0-0 at halftime and in the 56th minute he scored 1-0 on a penalty after Nkunku had been fouled. 16 minutes later he made it 2-0 on an easy shot after a nice passed from Kurzawa into the box. It was Lucas 7th and 8th league goal of the season.

PSG won 2-0, the three points however had no actual importance since PSG already has won Ligue 1. Now focus is completely on Manchester City on Tuesday.
