THREE SAFE POINTS IN SHAKHTAR

ZLATAN'S GOAL WAS DECIDED AN OWN GOAL

LVIV.

At first it looked like Zlatan scored his 109th PSG-goal and tied the record with Pauleta. But after reviewing the goal, it was decided to be an own goal.

PSG CL-beat Shakhtar 3-0.

– I will beat the record, Zlatan said after the game.

 

It was time for Shakhtar Donetsk-PSG and Paris got exactly the start they wanted. In the 7th minute Maxwell got the ball to the left and crossed into the penalty area where the other wingback Aurier timed, jumped and headed perfectly. 0-1.

 

WINGBACK COMBINATIONS

Only 15 minutes later same Aurier/Maxwell was involved again. Aurier headed Maxwell's corner on to David Luiz thigh, which tricked goalkeeper Pyatov. 0-2. The rest of the first half was pretty even without too many chances. Shakhtar got a great opportunity at the end, but PSG's defense was too strong. 0-2 at halftime.

 

GREAT PSG-DEFENSE

Shakhtar played better and better and got closer and closer to a goal. in the second. Silva and Luiz defended well and Trapp had to make a couple of saves. One shot even touched the crossbar. But PSG's defense did not only impress offensively, but also defensively. Shakhtar tried to score the important 1-2, but failed.

 

OWN GOAL LOOKED LIKE ZLATAN'S

Instead Zlatan killed off the game in the 90th minute in a.. well, let's say effective way. And he didn't get the goal either. Pastore's pass reached Ibra who kind of shot the ball on to a Shakhtar-defenders legs and in. He has to wait on his 109th goal, but he was actually rewarded the assist by UEFA. 0-3, fulltime.

 

 

ZLATAN.

In the first half he was involved in a couple of attacks as well as Aurier's 0-1 but it was not his best half. One attempt on goal, a header wide in the 17th minute.

 

In the second he got a good opportunity in the 63rd but got too close to the goalkeeper on Cavani's header-pass. Two minutes after he was shown a yellow card after unintentionally elbowing a Shakhtar-player in a duel. Not much then happened for Zlatan until the 90th minute when he did what he is supposed to. He got a bit lucky and we all thought he scored, bit it was correctly decided to be an own goal. Zlatan was actually rewarded the assist though.

ZLATAN'S THOUGHTS AFTER SHAKHTAR DONETSK-PSG

If you get the 3-0 goal – congratulations on your 109th goal for PSG and in that case writing football history! How does it feel to reach Pauleta's record in just three seasons and becoming PSG's best scorer of all time?

ZLATAN: "I don't know if I will be credited the goal, but I will beat that record regardless."

PSG won the difficult away match against Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0. What is your perception of the match?

ZLATAN: "We met a good team that played well, but I think we played a solid match."

In the middle of the second half you got a yellow card after a situation with Ukrainian Olexandr Kucher. What are your thoughts?

ZLATAN: "I got the card because I asked why it was a free kick."

PSG started the match with the impressive top-trio Ibrahimovic, Di Maria and Cavani. What do you think of your collaboration with the two South Americans so far?

ZLATAN: "It was alright today, but we can do better."
