PSG LOST UNINSPIRED GAME

WITH THE TITLE ALREADY SECURED MONACO WAS HUNGRIER

PARIS.

Motivation beats class.

No matter if you are PSG.

With the title already secured PSG lost 0-2 against a hungrier Monaco.

– We hade no spark in our game, Zlatan said after the game.

PSG secured the Ligue 1-title last week and it showed today. Monaco defended well at 0-0 and then scored two goals in the second half.

GOALLESS FIRST HALF

Blanc out Di Maria behind Zlatan, Cavani and Lucas in the role he had in 2014 when he won Champions League with Real Madrid and he was the best player in the first half. PSG had chances, mostly Cavani, but failed to score. Monaco defended well and had one or two semi-dangerous counter attacks, but the result was 0-0 at halftime.

MONACO PUNISHED PSG

The game was sleeping until the 65th minute. Then Monaco chocked PSG and scored twice in three minutes. First they displayed a nice attack with quick passes which finally left Vagner Love with an open goal. 0-1. Then David Luiz simply gave away a goal. He slopped around with the ball in PSG's own penalty area and then pulled down Fabinho. The referee decided it was a penalty, which Fabinho scored. 0-2 to Monaco.

ZLATAN.

Started the game and was as usual involved in PSG's attractive passing. With Cavani next to him he dropped down a bit more and didn't have any big chances. Could with some luck have gotten an assist or two but Monaco defended well and it wasn't the same spark around Ibra in the first half as we have seen lately. Had a ball in net but was (questionably) called for offside.

Not much worked for Zlatan in this game. He got chance after chance in the second half but the precision just wasn't there. It obviously didn't mean as much as normally for Zlatan and PSG and this was simply a game to forget.

"WE HAD NO SPARK"

ZLATAN'S THOUGHTS AFTER PSG-MONACO

For the first time this year you lost a match at Parc des Prince. In addition, it's the first time this year you lose a match by a two-goal margin. What are your thoughts about the loss tonight?

ZLATAN: "We hade no spark in our game."

Off and on PSG looked nonchalant and sloppy tonight. Is it because you are champions already you have a hard time to focus?

ZLATAN: "That's how it gets sometimes."

With seven matches left to play you need another thirteen points to set a new record in Ligue 1. What do you think of you chances to beat the record?

ZLATAN: "That's not anything I think about."

Now there is a national team break where you and Sweden play friendlies against Turkey and the Czech Republic, What are your thoughts on the coming get-together with Team Sweden?

ZLATAN: "It will be nice to come home."
