VALUABLE POINT IN VIENNA

TOUGH GAME FOR ZLATAN WHEN SWEDEN DREW IN AUSTRIA

VIENNA.

Sweden once again faced Austria in the qualification round and after Erkan Zengin scoring a great goal Sweden drew, a great result for the future of the competition.

Zlatan scored the deciding goal when Sweden beat Austria at home in the last qualification game towards World Cup in Brazil a year before and it was a revenge-seeking Austria Sweden faced. Last time (in Austria) Sweden lost and with a loud crowd before the game, this was a high pressure-game.

NEW FELLOW ATTACKERS

Against Estonia 4 days before, the debutants Forsberg and Behoui started beside Ibra but this time it was time for Zengin and Durmaz, two players who gradually have grown the last two years. Zengin, who started for the first time in the Swedish national team, had a great game and scored the beautiful equalizer (Alaba had made it 1-0 on penalty) after a Zlatan-header-assist.

TIGHT DEFENSE

Sweden, with a history of great defense have conceded more goals under manager Erik Hamrén, prioritizing a more fluent attack passing game. This game they played a fantastic game defensively with Granqvist dominating.

ZLATAN.

Playing at home against weaker opponents on Parc des Princes compared to tougher opponents away with Sweden are almost two different sports for Zlatan. 18 header-duels (!) was more than in all PSG-games this season and Sweden never managed to pass around the ball, involving Zlatan's great feet, this was a very physical game. But with one assist to Zengin and one point away, it must be considered a succesful game.
